Meeting time and location

The Fall 2021 edition of the Finite Element Circus is hosted by the Center for Computational Mathematics and Applications and the Department of Mathematics at Penn State. Following more than 50 year old tradition the FE circus will be held on Friday and Saturday (November 5-6, 2021). The conference venue is The Penn Stater (Hotel & Conference Center) located at 215 Innovation Boulevard just north of the the Penn State University Park campus.

The Friday session will begin at 1:30pm sharp and the Saturday session at 08:30am. The circus will end around 5:00pm on Saturday. Lunch will be provided on Saturday.

If you are planning to attend the conference, please fill out the registration form which is found by visiting the REGISTRATION tab in the main menu near the top of this page. The registration will close at 23:59 on October 17, 2021.

FE Circus dinner(in-doors)

On Friday, November 5, 2021, there will be a conference dinner held at the Deans Hall I at The Penn Stater (the conference venue). A dinner buffet will be served from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. The cost of the Fall 2021 FE Circus dinner is covered by the XZ identity.

Lodging

There is a limited amount of rooms reserved  for the meeting at the conference venue (The Penn Stater Hotel & Conference Center), located at 215 Innovation Boulevard (814-863-5000). They are guaranteed with a special rate of $109.00 plus tax UNTIL Sept 27, 2021. Please try to make your reservation on time by contacting directly the Penn Stater Hotel. If they are completely booked, please visit the Practical Information Tab above where you will find a list of other hotels in the area.
